Access to Navigate is granted through one of two processes—requested by an individual or automated roles based on an individual’s HR role at the University of Utah (e.g. Advisor).
Request New Access
To request Navigate access for the first time:
- Complete the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) certification course below.
- At the end of the course, download the Student Records Authorization form.
- Complete the form and submit to studentsystems@utah.edu. Your supervisor can help identify the appropriate role to request.
- If access is granted, you will be notified by the Navigate team over email.
Request Change in Access
To request a different Navigate role:
- Complete the Student Records Authorization Change form below.
- Submit completed form to studentsystems@utah.edu.
Troubleshoot or Check Access
To report an issue with your Navigate access or to check the current status of your role, submit your request via the form below. We will respond back to you within 24 hours.
